These cars are not very snappy with the automatic if that's important to you. It gets much worse if this car is emmission equipped for California (you don't say where the car comes from)

Worst case scenario on automatic trans if it needs a repair is a minimum of $2000. Make sure you're ready to buy off on that one in another 50K, possibly.

The only people who can tell you if it's a good deal are the people who go over it with a fine tooth comb for you. It sounds like it's had some neglect. Why would someone sell an $8000 plus car with a cracked windshield and a/c not working????
if it takes less than a $1000 to repair those items. I am skeptical.
