You need to check the electrical signal to the heater valve. I can't remeber which way round it is for sure but I think it is 12V to turn the valve off and 0V to turn it on. Turn the selector full on way and then full the other and the voltage across the valve should switch.

If that works then the valve must be faulty. Should be fairly easy to take it out and test it. You did put the seal in the right way round didn't you ?

I recently changed the Bosch insert in the heater control value to repair cold air when driving down the road. I now get hot air even when the thermostat control is turned off. Any ideas?
