If you haven't done so already, replace the tie rod ends, centre drag link and idler arm bushing.....then have a look at the strut bearings and check the steering box mount for cracks.......

I have rebuilt the entire font end of my 89 E24 includung 750 thrust arm (upper control arm) bushings. I replaced the trx rims and tires with M11's and Michelin 225/50/16 tires. I have replaced the rotors with Zimmerman rotors as well.
Today I replaced the MM11 rims with the original trx rims/tires with NO difference. So, I guess it is not the rims.
Should I replace the 750 bushings with the solid urethane ones from BMP?
I am getting a shimmy when accelerating from 45 to 60 mph, and it is worse when braking.
I am going to a driving school in 2 weeks, so I need to solve this problem ASAP
Thanks
Johnny
