I had that dreaded shimmy for over a year, and last week I replaced the entire front braking system with the 7 series brakes and cross-drilled rotors. THE SHIMMY IS GONE!!!!!! Not only that, the car now stops on a dime. It is once again a pleasure to drive my shark!.

I had the same problem with my 85 635. Replaced the upper control arm bushings which didn't take care of it. Three weeks ago I replaced the tie rod ends, problem solved.
