All of the rims BMW produced prior to the 90s were very light. Most today are still well under 21 lbs. A few of the wheels on the SUV and 7 series are in the 24lb. range, but keep in mind that these newer vehicles were designed with beefier suspensions, which can handle the added weight. After washing my car, and detailing the Hamanns, it is a tough decision to put the factory rims back on. You know the story though, WOBBLE WOBBLE WOBBLE.

ps- How are the LIGHTWEIGHT Borbets doing ? I wish I'd gotten the Type S when they were on special!
