Rear Storage/Speaker/Headrest Repair (archive)

My '85 635 storage/speaker housings on the rear shelf need some help.

Like many I've seen, the foam and covering are pulled away/bowed up over the handles.

Is there a way to reattach the foam to the metal below it?

Would appreciate any help any of you could give!
