You may not even need to buy new switches.
I had similar trouble with the window switches on both my E24 & E28. I disassembled the switches & found oxidation on the contacts. I just cleaned them with a stiff-bristled brush, spritzed some "Gold-Gard" electrical contact spray on 'em & they work as good as new.

The computer is almost for sure a bulb, and I would suspect the switches on the windows - not wiring. Bulb is $20 and switches $30 each.
