Hi, Clean and inspect wiring connectors on the side of the tranny. Remove the hot battery cable and then put it back on (this reboots the computer). Make sure all battery connectors and grounds are clean and secure also. Try this first, I had the same problem, it seems if the computer picks up a slight connecting problem it goes into the "limp mode" in the tranny. I believe the computer for the "tranny" is under the dash driver's side. Mine is a 85 635 Euro 115k. Good luck. Jim
Please help. The warning light on the dash for the Elect. Trans. Control Circuit went on. Third gear only, if she starts. Once started, she runs in third, but a "bump" causes a click in the console. Seems like a loose wire or connection. Where is this computer? How much for a new one?
TIA
Billymiracle
