Dash covers (archive)

Anyone on the board have experience with dash covers? The ones I've seen look pretty funky. Eventually I plan on buying a new dash and having it installed. My mechanic gave me an estimate of $1000.00, incl. parts & labor. Until then, however, I'd like to cover those ugly cracks. I would love to find a cover made of black vinyl, so it would somewhat resemble the dash itself.

Any feedback?
