I've owned 2 L6 635csi's, ans an '85 Euro ///M635csi. As fun as a standard 6 series is, the M is 10 times as cool, 50 times as rare, and three times as fast! (Well, maybe twice.)

Sure, the maintainence is going to be higher, and fuel is a bit more, but considering the cost of a new car with this much oooommmph, I'll take the ///M6 ANY day. (Besides, there are a zillion M3's, a million 540i's, and lots of 7 series running around--I prefer to be unique!)

8 grand is a STEAL, by the way, if it is truly an original owner, records, etc.! Even if you have to drop 2 into the motor, that's still only $10,000! Man, I'd jump on that one! Here's a thought! Buy the M, and keep the '79 as a daily/beater! How much do you really plan on asking for it, anyway?

BUY IT, MAN, If you do not like it, I WILL GIVE YOU 9 GRAND FOR IT, Or swap you a Benz! I MEAN IT!
