I have seen 4 88-89s 5spds F/S in last few months (archive)

I'm looking myself but need to sell my E39 first.
1.The one mentioned below in roundel, white I belive.
2.A red 88 in Queens NY under 90k for $9k firm.
3-4. On e-bay a dealer in upstate NY grey 134k and a private party in Washington if I remember correctly 160k silver/grey. Neither of the e-bays cars sold.

Does anyone know how many were made. I read somewere on the net there were about 1,000 88-89s but have no idea if that's accurate.
