I have a question for you all out there.... I failed my smog test and wanted to know what might cause it.

All categories were perfect except for the NO category which was over 3 TIMES the legal limit!! How can this be? I would expect things to be bad acrossed the board if it was a bad Cat or Sensor, but how can one category be so amazingly out of whack?!

I'm taking it back on Tuesday to change the O2 Sensor, which seems to be about a year old, and to also dwitch out the batts on my SI board, which are bad. This has me VERY concerned, though... I can't really afford a new CAT just yet, and I need to get this puppy registered soon!

Any ideas?!?!

try adding a bottle of dry gas (methanol or isopropyl alcohol) per gallon of fuel. does the car run hot?
