the california vehicle code (cvc) to you cop types...does allow for tinting of windows immediately adjacent to the driver and passenger..a mininmum of 50% light transmittal is required...windows to the rear of the driver can be tinted as low as 30 % light transmission....

If you live in Ca, tinting the drivers and passenger front window is illegal. I was stopped in my 540 and recieved a ticket from a very bored CHP officer. A Sheriff Deputy friend of mine said the reason is that the police want to SEE who is driving the vehicle and tinting prohibits that from happening.

My 6 is getting some small rust touched up this week. The shop doing the repairs offers window tint and I thought that since I just redyied my interior, the tint would protect the car from the sun. I'm not a huge fan of tinted windows though. Anyhow, what % of tint would you recommend for a black 6 with beige interior.

Suggestions appreciated.

Rob
