Try looking at your situation from the perspective of potential. From what I've read, your situation could've been prevented by researching the different E24 models, talking to owners, and having a pre-purchase inspection performed prior to making an offer on the car. Now that you own the car and the repairs have been identified, schedule out the service and get them done. These cars are surprisingly robust and provide miles of fun! But be prepared to spend money-they're worth it! Good luck and I hope you elect to keep your euro 635.
