This shift pattern was developed for road racing so that reverse would be locked out of the shift pattern and the business (forward) gears would be together. 1st to 3rd is really sweet and gives a lot of torque, but winds out really fast. 4th and 5th is pretty much meant for the freeway.

What is the shift pattern on a close ratio dogleg tranny?
I understand it's an odd shift pattern. What do you guys that have one think about it? Would it be worth swapping in my 87 6'r?
What mods are required to swap into an 87Csi with a Getrag262; driveshaft,mounts?
