I've heard here that the plastic cover "look cheap". I haven't seen one. Is it just the type of plastic used that doesn't look right, or is the whole fit and look of the injection mold bad?

If is just the plastic doesn't look right, couldn't you spray one with one of those leather dye kits to get a richer, less shiny cheap plastic look?

I'm interested myself.


Seeking solution to my cracked dash. The plastic covers look cheap and to order new one is $800? Would like to find one in great shape. Any suggestions?
