The was a 633 head posted just a couple of days back. You could use the 635 head with the 635 cam, Bavarian (and probably others) sell and adjustable fuel pressure regulator that would give you a little extra gas. You could also add (now or later) a less restrictive exhaust and get a little more air. You should get more torque and more hp without throwing the Mototronic system off too much (oxygen sensor will keep it on track as long as you are pretty close to normal air/fuel mix).
If you decide to go this route, get more detailed advice. I haven't attempted this, but I don't think it would be anything radical.
I need some help. I just took off the cylinder head on my 83 633 and found it is cracked. My questions:
Can the crack be repaired?
does anyone out there have one I can buy?
I have an 85 cylinder head from a 635 I had (bad cam). It seems to be the same head (the head gasket fits perfectly and the holes all seem to be the same). Can I switch out the cam and use this head on my 83?
Other ideas?
Any help is greatly appreciated. thanks
