A good Euro parts car, even a flood survivor be worth $800 or so. You can always sell the bumpers.
It is not uncommon for first time 6 buyers to consider that these cars cost a lot to buy. They were imported in large numbers and are not rare. The car you describe (understand I haven't seen it), sounds more like something a knowing enthusiast would buy for parts. Stay on the board and you'll begin to see. I have seen perfectly acceptable, running 6 series cars sell for what you say they want for this "flood case". For another $1000 have seen very nice early to mid 80's models.
Another thing that is puzzling about your description is the statement about no sunroof and no power windows. Do you mean the power windows are gone. I can't imagine an 82 with no sunroof and have NEVER seen a 6 with windup windows.
My car is a 77 with no sunroof, but it's one of the few I have ever seen without one, and it has power winders.
Can anyone clarify this.... Did any Euros have no SR and winder windows??
