Had my exhaust and cat done. OEM Cat was $1740 and OEM exhaust with muffler was $800....my non dealer mechanic charged me $300 in labor. I deliberated the after market route, but all the savants said longevity was best with OEM. Mine is an '89 635 CSi with a gentle 74k on the clock. Hope this offers another perspective.
