Mine does this once in a while. Mine will usually resume functioning if I disconnect the battery briefly. Although I'm sure sooner or later this will not work either as the batteries on the SI board weaken.

You will need the security code for the factory stereo if you disconnect the battery.

: I just bought and 87 535 is (automatic). My computer works fine but the guage indicating the current MPG shows either 5MPG when under accelleration or 40MPG when my foot is off the gas. Anyone know about this guage and its inner-workings?
