This is from European Car about a year ago. The table is comparing three things on a modifed VW VR6 egnine:
1) stock setup - stock paper filter and airbox.
2) "Air Bath", a product for VWs that has a cold air duct under the bumper leading to the air box.
3) A K&N cone filter.

Figures in (parentheses) indicate hp LOSS from stock.
