A general question to provide a little reassurance for the paranoid, please!

I had some friends following me the other day, and the both commented on how the rear wheels of my '85 535i both appear to tilt in a little at the top, giving the rear of the car a "squatted" look. Is this normal? Looking at the configuration of the rear suspension, I can't picture what would wear to give an exagerated tilt to the wheels (I can't remember...that's camber, right?) Looking at my pal's E24, his does not look as evident as mine does. Looking at other E28s, I am not alone....

Is the exaggerated camber normal and a design feature for cornering, or do I have something worn? The car drives and handles fine.
