I have an '88 528e that I love. I bought it w/98k. I immediately brought it in and had the vacuum intake hose, water pump and timing belt (and a few other associated things) replaced. At 105k, I had a Type 2 Service done. Now, at 119k, there is one green led light before the next service. I assume a Type 1 will be needed next, am I correct in doing so? What is a type 1 service as opposed to a type 2? What other things should I be on the lookout for maintenance wise, to ensure a couple hundred thousand more miles?
