: i have a set of alpina 16inch rims with 11mm
: offset wearing 225 50 16s all round, ive never had any problems with them rubbing. by the way the tyres are yokohama a008r's ex japan and man do they stick like glue!!

I also have 16" wheels with an offset of 11mm, 7" wide though(don't know what yours are) w/225/50 D40 M2's. I had to cut a good 3/8" off the rear lips and they still rub the upper upper part of the fender when the car totally bottoms, which is only about twice a year. BTW, I used an electric drill with a so called "Hummer wheel" and just grinded off the inner lip. Don't forget to paint and undercoat, of course.
