I may have been misleading when I referred to it as an idle problem. The car runs obviously bad at all speeds when this is happening, but is most evident at the below 2000 rpm range. Basically, if I don't keep the revs up, it dies. When this intermittent problem is not happening, my idle is pretty steady at 600 to 700.

The thing that made me think it was the fuel pumps or the relays was the fact that the last time I had it happening, I was able to sit with the door open and listen. I heard the buzzing of the fuel pump intermittently....making me think it is a connection or relay kinda thing..

I'll post when I solve the mystery.
