I have a 88 535i/a with a 122,00 miles on it and I decided to replace the stock wheels. I am going to also replace the springs and shocks with far better ones. The down side of the new springs is that the car will sit lower to the ground. Keep reading this really does get better. The wheels that I used were off a E39, thats right a E39. The use of these wheels allowed for a greater selection of factory styles. I choose a 15" size because the car is going to sit lower to the ground and I did not want to tires to rub. The tires are Dunlop SP8000's in size 225/50/15. At the stock height they look good and on Friday when the springs and shocks are installed, it will look awesome. I live in Pennsylvania and I bought the wheels from a tire and wheel dealer near by. I'll post the name, and no, I am not getting any kick backs from them. Lastly, the E32 big brake upgrade is going to happen at the same time as the above installation. Yipee!!
