Just curious what experience anyone has had rebuilding rolled-over cars. Rest assured this is _not_ my 535is but a 540i I've seen FS and may entertain for rehab. How likely is it that no matter how good a job is done that the car will always have:
a) some structural weaknesses that would compromise future accident survivability,
b) stress concentrations from metal bending that will ultimately become initiation points for rust,
c) some slight out-of-whack in the engine or drivetrain that will lead to accelerated wearout,
d) noticeably imperfect body/door alignment (i.e. loss of that nice BMW "thunk").
Can it ever be as good as before? How much of a discount would you as a purchaser expect knowing that a car's been rolled and repaired (all else being fine)?
