Another thing that BMW does is the first time you apply the brakes the ABS may 'bump' one time. It's the ABS checkout and actually cycles the valves. Probably to recirculate some fluid so it doesn't get funky. My car did it backing out of the garage every morning. Just a light bump. At first I thought there were front end/brake problems but a top-notch wrencher told me about the check-out.
