: I need to get a new ECU for my 535i. The dealer wants $730 for a Bosch rebuilt one. I can get one rebuilt by Programa with a 3 year warranty for $404. Junkyard ones seem to be about $250. Given all of these numbers, the Programa rebuild sounds like the way to go.

: Anyone ever used them? Anyone else have any problems with their ECU?

I have heard good things about programma. They rebuild SI boards, idle control modules, etc. As long as they warrant their work, I would go for it. I would definitely not get one from a junkyard--you could spend $250 and be back again in a few months.
