Congrats on getting such a cool car. One thing, it is usually harder for cars to start when it is cold outside. Once they warm up, they usually run fine. I would say that reving the engine a bit to warm it up during the winter really seems okay.
Yeah, I was recently wondering the 0-60 time for my car as well. In an 87' brochure it says my car (535i) goes 0-60 in 7.4. However, I also came across a website that said I went 0-60 in 5.6 or something??!!! I really doubt that last bit of info, because the new 540's do it in 5.7(manual) and 5.8(auto)- and I really doubt that my car is faster than a 540i seeing I've riden in both cars.
To add performance to your car, I wouldn't know what to tell you- I'm only 17 too, and all my father tells me to do is "Don't spend any money on that car because you'll never get it back and you'll probably crash it." which is wise. And my mom's a broker/stock broker so she always says, "Car's are bad investments" ,but if you really want to have fun in your car, you usually have to give it some cash. I'd give mine some money, but I'm also strapped for cash considering my teachers enjoy giving me 3-5 hours or homework. Later.
