Anything sold at a major chain store should be suspect, at least until proven otherwise. Personally, I use ONLY OEM filters (Mahle or Mann). Do they cost more? - Yes. Am I willing to pay a little more to get what have been shown to be superior filters? - Yes. BTW, the OEM spin-on type oil filters do have a pressure-relief valve, which many aftermarket pieces lack.

If you want to see what this valve does, put on an aftermarket filter and fill your engine with 20W50, wait for a a really cold morning, and start the car. You will likely be greeted by the oil filter violently removing itself from the engine, followed closely by your engine oil oozing out onto the driveway and you filling out an Environmental Impact Statement for the EPA. (For you literalists out there: No, do not recommend trying this...)

Bosch Platinums are not well-suited to these motors - get OEM plugs. (Yes, I've tried the Platinums, and yes, they did affect idle and performance.)

You pays your money and you takes your chances.

This brand is sold at Autozone, and
considering some of the stuff they
sell, is this brand any good?

Also any recomendations on spark plug
type..or Bosch platinums worth it?
