I went through emissions on my then "new" 535i in June, and as far as I could tell the PO had removed the cat, so I was a little worried. Shouldn't have been, they never looked under the hood or the car, and I didn't even have to rev it even though it's a stick (they must have heard the stories about blowing the auto trannys). Passed with flying colors. This was at the Lynnwood emissions - they're all different, and I've had the best luck with them.

Guys, just moved to Seattle(from San Diego). Is there going to be a problem with emmisions testing on my '86 535i? I have installed a Bav Auto header and a cold air intake. In Ca. I would have to remove these items every two years to pass a visual inpection, is this going to be problem here??? I know the car will pass emmisions but I'm unsure about the visual rules here....Any help would be great.....
