does anyone have a low milage steering box for sale?
I have all new M5 front,540i rear brakes,front suspension parts(750 bushings),braided brake lines,
and I still get a front brake shutter thru the steering
wheel under hard braking at speed(over 70MPH).I have allready tightened the steering box to tight then backed off 1/2 turn, tightened the collar on the steering collum. The car seems to track well both strait
and in the mountains(I live near Denver)at speed. I've
had wheels balanced several times.Around town things seem fine. The only part not replaced is 280K steering
box.Anything I've forgotten?Any ideas?

it's your steering box UNLESS there is substantial play you cannot adjust out (more than 1/2" at the rim).

I'd be more inclined to suspect the rotors (lots cheaper at under $40/ea.) or thrust arm bushings (go with the urethane ones from BMP).
