Had my 85 535i since 85. I've used the stiffer bushings and they do last longer. However; I lost some of the road feel. I'd rather replace them more frequently. Personal preference. Try them and see what you think.
Also, I read the other inputs on rotating the tires. I've had better results using the BMW service book recommendation. They said if you absolutely feel you need to rotate the tires then they tell you the method to use. However, BMW warns that you will be chasing wheel balancing for the remaining tread life. That has coincided with my experience. I had much better results when the tires were not rotated. Again probably numerous different results with each response. Try and see what works best in your case.
