With ET23 they should be 1mm closer to the struct rather than the fender ?? Since standard is 22mm offset.
Does a 225 sit o.k on a 8" rim.

...and they give the car a very agressive, M5-ish look.

I did need spacers up front to fit the super-grippy 225/50-16" Dunlop SP Sport 8000s. Incidentally, they did not need spacers when test-fitted with Pirelli P7000 Supersports of the "same" size. The Dunlops do rub the (non-rolled) fender lips occasionally. However, the dramatic improvement in handling (and appearance) over the old TRXs makes this just a minor annoyance.

Its ET23 8x16 if they are off a E38 and the hub size is the same as a E28.
Im looking at the exact same wheels I think they would look perfect for a E28 (I have held one up to my car) even better than the E28 M5 wheels in looks I think.
The only problem is I know of nobody that has put a 8" rim with a 225 tire on the FRONT.Most OEM setups use a max of 7 1/2" for a 225 (E26 M5) maybe the steering would be too twichy with that combo on the front,ok for the back.
Please let me know how it goes if you buy them.
What do the Gurus on this board think about this 8''/225 on the front question ??

I'm looking to purchase a set of BMW cross spoke wheels that came off a 1998 740. All I know is that they are 16" rims. Supposedly they are the stock rims that came with the car. Does anyone happen to know the offset of such rims and whether or not they are hubcentric for an e28?
Thanks
