I think I am going to buy a 535is. Tell me, is there any major problems?

It's a great car, but given its vintage (1987 -1988) be prepared to spend money on repair and
replacement parts. Lots of things to look for
when evaluating one, but nothing out of the ordinary. Check out the "http://M535.com" website
for the BMWCCA 535 registry. You might find a few leads. You can also shop for a Euro M535 model.
US version is 535iS, only made for two years.

I've had mine about three years, and I have
installed a DINAN chip and suspension. It is fast,
comfortable, and I use it as a daily driver. Only problem is that it is "undervalued" in marketplace. So with what you save with the low purchase price, be prepared to spend on upgrades, repairs, etc.

If all you want to is buy a cheap car and just drive it without spending any more $$$, then stay away from it. It's a classic BMW performance car
and if given TLC, it will love you back.
