S=Sport setting, which increases the RPM shift settings, which is a much more fun setting when driving around town, but you will pay at the pump.

E=Economic setting, which causes the car to change gears earlier to save gas.

123-choose your own (although I still have not figured out how this really works as mine still changes gears...might be broken or somehow disconnected on mine).

can any one tell me what the little turn dial switch, thing near the automatic gear shift on a 87' 535is stands for it has three different things to set the dial to: it has a "S" an "E" and a "1-2-3".
