87 535i....my driver's seat back is twisted, won't recline and straighten fully on right side...is this a DIY project? thanks!!

I pulled the seat out of the car, stripped off the arm rest, the cover and padding. Found two cracks and a twisted rail. I welded the cracks back together and added a little additional metal for strength. I then welded in some channel, and straightened up the rails. It took a neighbors welder and some salvage steel, and about 2 hrs.
