Search the archives on the Magnificent 7 Digest (www.bmwseven.com). One of the drive cables has shrunk; you need to pull of the back of the seat (duh), and you'll see the drive motor/cable. It sounds weird, but you'll pull the cable of the motor and stick a itty piece of coat hanger in there (1/4-3/8" I think), reattach cable, and you're done. One hour first time, 30 minutes or less the next ...

87 535i....my driver's seat back is twisted, won't recline and straighten fully on right side...is this a DIY project? thanks!!
