If you put a big 32mm wrench on the clutch nut, and whack it with a hammer, it almost always comes loose. Don't forget that it is reverse threaded.

I beg anyone in the LA/Orange county area! Does anyone have the tool needed to hold the water pump pully in place to remove the fan clutch. I am stuck at this point and need my car for work monday. I have tried the BMWCCA but it seems that everyone went to oktoberfest. Call me if you are willing to help!!! Call anytime. I can pick the tool up anytime! 626-319-1966.
