Don't have an owner's manual on the used 1985 535i. A/C fan works fine but when you take the push button off a/c, can't get the heater fan to work. Is there a trick?

Your fan's probably burned out. You can access the fan from behind the firewall under the engine compartment. Procedure is in Bently/Haynes (Bentley is more detailed). I had to do the same thing to mine last winter.It's not too difficult.
