I have a friend that just bought a parts car. very bad interior,poor body, great running gear. We have never parted out or owned a 528E before.

Has anyone ever bought a motor for a 538E? Whats it worth? Supposed to be rebuild 40,000 miles
ago. runs great.

How about a 5sp for the same? whats it worth? Shifts nice, no noise.

What is the number designation for the
tranny? (ie getrag 260? 254? what?) any info would be appreciated.

The car is is Minnesota.
