need some help on head please? (archive)

what up i have a question? i did the head job on my 87 535i and cant figure out what is wrong. Before i drove the car,the lifters seem to neen adjusting. I adjusted them but the engine sound the same. I took the head off and send it to the machine shop after a day thet told me that the litters & cam was worn so i did complete head job. i put the head on the car it sound the same or even worse. it idles rought and i know the lifter are not tight. etc..... head bolt 90 poung not sure,can you tell me what you think could be the problem thanks ?
