Checked into "the bible" for info on E28 wheel alignment info. Here's what's written:

"Because of IRS design on E28s, it is especially important to have all four wheels aligned!"

"Some camber correction can be achieved on the front wheels with the installation of alternate parts fron BMW."

"Toe is the primary (not only!) alignment adjustment for E28s."

"Although there is no provision for routine camber adjustments on E28s, some correction is possible (upper strut mount replaced with eccentric version)."

"There is no provision for routine rear wheel toe adjustment on E28s, however, some correction is possible(trailing arm outer pivot bushing replaced with eccentric version)."

So, again, a red flag should go up, if car is returned to you with a steering wheel that is not straight after an "alignment"

All things that I wrote in previous post on alignments are valid.
I would ask for a printout from the alignment shop. There, you will see manufacturer's alignment specs vs. live readings from your vehicle.
Can't remember the gentleman's name that responded to my post, but what did I earn for extra credit?

Pete S.
