My understanding is that the change is a major project, involving welding new mounting points and other substantial work. The parts are expensive - something on the order of $2000 IIRC. I think there are a few folks here who have done the job, so perhaps they can give more detail and pics.


My son and I are rebuilding our '86 535 and we just got it back from the paint shop. Now the fun begins!!
Question for the group....How easy is it to change to Euro bumpers, front and back?? Any idea of cost and parts availability???
We looked at shortening the US bumpers today and moving them in is the easy part! The rework of all the black trim pieces looks like a bear!! Is the easiest way out going to the Euro style???
Can someone who did the conversion send me some pic's or point me to some to evaluate the change?
