The keyless remote and alarm control module is mounted above the glove compartment on the passenger side. If it's a BMW system, there should be an LED somewhere on the instrument console that blinks when the system is activated. If this is present in your car it would be quite obvious - but since you don't mention it I bet that if your car has an alarm it's not BMW. Also, there should be a siren mounted in the engine compartment (on the passenger side, adjacent to the tradiator). At least, this is the setup on my '97 328iC. Maybe the '95 is different, so caveat emptor.


Just bought a used 95 525i and discovered, though the feature wasn't listed when I bought it, that it does in fact have a keyless entry system, and maybe an alarm- got no remote with the car, maybe the sytem was broken, so they didn't list it- where is the control unit located for this system, so I can start checking this out?
