87 528e recently repainted after damage to right rear quarter panel. Quarter panel and rear door replaced but total car repainted at my request. Just got car back after over 3 months in shop. Locked in trunk with flashlight and wife spraying water onto back window and louvers I can see water coming in at the top of wheel well on both sides. It looks like there's a shelf at the top of both wheel wells on the side closest to the rear window. This is where I can see the water coming down. Returned to shop too many time to fix leak. The body shop has pulled the louver covers, checked for leaks and re-installed window. It still leaks on both sides. I took it to a window specialist who spent 2 hours troubleshooting but said the window did not leak. He did say he saw a little water coming over the shelf. He didn't think it was a lot of water. He didn't spray it as we did; he just rean the water over the top of the car. HOWEVER, there is already rust in the bottom of the new quarter panel and the entire area was bone-dry before the accident and the repaint. Sorry to be so-o-o long in my request but I don't want to take it back to the body shop (family harmony at stake). With the new paint, the car is beautiful but this leak bothers me. I think even a little water in the whell well is too much. Thanks in advance for any assistance.sounds like it could be clogged sunroof drains. search archives for howtos
