Regretfully, I am thinking of selling my '85 528e. I can't drive it enough to keep it in good running condition. My son wants it but can't afford to maintain it. Its got 175K mi and has been meticulously maintained by the same dealer service dept for 16 years. SF Bay Area car. In great condition. Can I get $4K for it? If not, I'll probably keep it.

at an asking price of 4k, i'd say youre gonna be keeping it. not that that's a bad thing. earlier in the year, i bought 2 86 528e s and paid less than 3k each. both have minor prbs,both have about same miles-175k. ive been doing most of my own maintenance,p'raps son could do same?
