If you're talking about the OBC display bulbs, there are two of them, and I think they are wired in series; if one goes out, they both go out. It's probably best to replace them both if you're going to the trouble of getting at them. I'd test the module with an ohmmeter before I reinstalled it.
I tried to replace one of the bulbs in my OBC according to the archives. I used a 6v bulb from Radio Shack. The readout is still very dim, so I guess I didn't do it properly. There is really no way to know if the new bulb is lit or not, therefore no way to know if I did it right. Anything I should try?
Anyway, is there a cheap place to get a new one besides the dealer. I have seen them in BMP and Bav Auto, -any where else for a few bucks cheaper??? Or, any parts cars out there with a spare??? Thanks a lot!!!
