I have tried the +4 plugs in 4 different vehicles and would proposed the following guideline: don't use them in any vehicle which specifies a plug gap less than .040". They come from the factory with a gap greater than .060" which is very difficult to reduce (although I did do so with the help of a piece of drill rod for my middle daughter's '90 SAAB 900S) and many cars which specify gaps in the .028 to .036 range just don't have a hot enough ignition system to fire them reliably, in spite of being electronically triggered. For cars with points, I'm sure they would be awful.
